We aim to provide the “single family office experience” through a "multi-family office platform."

Our objective is for families to feel as if they are our only client.

The Value of Independence

BigSur was founded at the request of its five anchor families, who approached the firm's founders looking for a better way to be served.

Our clients were discouraged by certain conflicts of interest inherent to banking platforms, such as:

excessive and non-transparent fee structures
a limited universe of investment products & solutions
a transactional nature for conducting business

BigSur provides clients with a personalized approach, a relationship founded upon unbiased advice, transparency, full customization and constant communication.

While Latin America has always been our core, we are proud to serve clients from all over the world. Our specialty is in managing complex, multi-jurisdictional relationships.

The "Insti-vidual"

We use the term "insti-viduals" to describe our clients, given that we invest their capital with the same mindset, level of service, and access of a high caliber institutional investor.

We are process driven and highly disciplined in our approach, similar to how large endowments, foundations and other institutions invest and preserve generational wealth.

As an example, BigSur has invested in over 50 alternative investment managers and direct co-investments across the United States, Europe and Asia. These investment opportunities are typically not available through banking platforms, are often oversubscribed, and require strong relationships to achieve access.

Since inception, BigSur clients in aggregate have committed more than $500 million to alternative investments, spanning numerous strategies within the real estate, private debt, private equity, venture capital, and infrastructure asset classes.
